Seikomatic-P 5106-8010 — A Rare, Unworn Example of Under-the-Radar Excellence

Here’s one for the collectors: a remarkably preserved Seikomatic-P 5106-8010 — a watch that not only flies under the radar but punches well above its weight in terms of horological significance.

With strong design cues that echo the early Grand Seiko 5722 models, this Seikomatic-P 5106-8010 showcases Seiko’s bold pursuit of excellence during the golden age of Japanese watchmaking. The crisp silver sunburst dial, accented by sharp, faceted indices and elegant dauphine hands, would feel right at home on a vintage Grand or King Seiko. The aesthetic is timeless and distinctly refined.

Inside the 36.5mm case beats the Seikomatic 5106 movement — a high-grade, 33-jewel automatic caliber boasting an innovative quickset date function. Rather than turning the crown repeatedly, a single push advances the date — an elegant touch that reflects Seiko’s technical ambition in the 1960s. At just 10mm thick (including the domed acrylic crystal), the watch wears slim on the wrist and easily slides under a cuff.

This example is in immaculate condition, with no visible signs of aging on the case, dial or hands.  The acrylic crystal and handset are in similarly clean condition, preserving the original character of the watch beautifully.

The watch is fitted with it's original bracelet that fits up to 6.25" wrist

The serial number has been covered in the accompanying photo for privacy.

If you’re looking to add a seldom-seen piece of Seiko’s mid-century evolution — in collector-grade, immaculate condition — this 5106-8010 is a compelling candidate.
