The fruit of friendship and the need for a practical way to tell the time while flying a plane; the Cartier Santos is probably the only watch from Cartier that can rival the popularity of the tank.

Multiple variants were produced throughout the years with the Galbee collection receiving extra curves for gentility.

The variant offered for sale is a Santos Galbee 987901. The example here features raised Roman numerals instead of the commonly seen printed Roman numerals.

The matt dial is finished in off-white with the Cartier's notable blued hands that complements the 7 facets sapphire crystal embedded in the crown.

The usage of the quartz calibre 687 allows the case back to be curved which allow the watch to sit better on the wrist as compared to a flat case back.

The watch case is in excellent condition with little signs of usage seen. The watch dial has aged beautifully with minimal signs of aging seen. The hands are free from any signs of aging. The watch crystal is free from scratches.

The watch was serviced by Cartier in November 2022 the watch is keeping good time.

The watch comes on its original bracelet that fits up to 6.25" wrist.
