The fruit of friendship and the need for a practical way to tell the time while flying a plane; the Cartier Santos is probably the only watch from Cartier that can rival the popularity of the tank.

Multiple variants were produced throughout the years with the Galbee collection receiving extra curves for gentility.

The variant offered for sale is a Santos Galbee 987901. The example here features the classic Roman numerals and "Rail-track" minute scale finished in blue to match the hands and 7 facets sapphire crystal embedded in the crown.

The usage of the quartz calibre 687 allows the case back to be curved which allow the watch to sit better on the wrist as compared to a flat case back.

The watch case and bezel is in excellent condition with common signs of usage seen. The watch dial is is free from any signs of aging which is extremely rare for this reference. The watch hands are free from any signs of aging. Light scratches can be seen on the sapphire crystal embedded in the crown from certain angles. The crystal is free from any scratches.

The watch comes on its original bracelet that fits up to 6" wrist.
