Cartier Santos Ronde Automatic 1920-1 Circa 1990
For sale is a Cartier 1920-1.
The fruit of friendship and the need for a practical way to tell the time while flying a plane; the Cartier Santos is probably the only watch from Cartier that can rival the popularity of the tank.
Multiple variants were produced throughout the years with the Santos Ronde departing from the usual rectangular form that mist are familiar with.
The variant offered for sale is a Ronde 1920-1. Underneath the double domed sapphire crystal is a white enamel dial finished with the classic black Roman numerals paired with blue sword hands.
The usage of the automatic calibre 049 (based on ETA 2892-2) allows the watch to have slim profile of just 7.8mm.
Measuring 33mm in diameter, the watch wears more like 37mm due to the way the bracelet folds.
The watch case and is in immaculate condition with little signs of usage seen. Scratches can be seen on the bezel and can be polished away if preferred. The watch dial and hands are free from any signs of aging. The crystal is free from scratches.
The watch comes on its original bracelet that fits up to 7.25" wrist.
Serial number has been covered for privacy.
