Grand Seiko 4522-7000 from 1969

For sale is a Seiko 4522-7000.

Following the success of the calibre 45 and 4502, the calibre 4522 and 4520 were produced and used within a few variant of Grand Seiko.

The 4522-7000 features a sharp multifaceted case nicknamed "bat case" by collectors due to its shape.

The case remains faithful to Tanaka's "Grammar of Design" with its "light catching" elements across the watch.

The watch is then finished off with an understated linen dial that ages beautifully over time.

The watch case is in immaculate condition with all original lines and finishing still sharp. The linen watch dial has developed a rich bronze patina that gives the watch extra character. Light signs of aging can be observed on the hands. Light scratches can be seen in the original crystal and can be replaced upon request.

The watch comes on a brand new handmade top grained leather strap.

Serial number has been covered for privacy.
