Grand Seiko 5722-9991 from 1967 (Serviced)

For sale is a highly sought after Seiko 5722-9991.

The 5722-9991 and its family are famously known as the second Grand Seiko to be produced.

The second Grand Seiko got a few significant upgrade with the higher jewel count, date complication, higher beat (increased to 19800bph from 5722B) and the usage of a screw down case back that allows the watch to have a higher water resistance than its predecessor the Grand Seiko 3180.

The watch features Seiko's classic silver sunburst dial with the fans favorite dauphine hands and diamond cut indices.

The example offered is in immaculate condition with all the original lines still sharp and no signs of aging seen on the dial. There are some light aging in the original medallion (beware of aftermarket/period incorrect medallion out there) .

The watch was serviced in July 2020 and received a new mainspring allowing it to have more than 40 hours of power reserve.

With multiple variant out there and the increase of frankens on the market the example offered here should not be missed by any collectors.

The watch will come with a brand new generic genuine leather strap.
