For sale is a Grand Seiko 6245-9000 in mint condition.
Highly sought after for many reasons, the 62GS watches were the first vintage automatic Grand Seiko calibre with a short production run of 2 years.
The 62GS features a clean bezeless case with beautiful multifaceted lug. The watch also features a beautiful stepped dial that makes the gives the dial extra depth. All these features unique to the 62GS.
The example offered here is the early variant with the lion medallion that collectors prefers.
The watch is in mint condition with the original lines on the watch still looking sharp, the case back and medallion are also in immaculate condition.
The dial is also in excellent condition other than a light hairline scratch around the right side of the dial, the line is only visible under certain lighting but I would like to highlight it for transparency (do refer to the last photo).
The 62GS came with the calibre 6246 and 6245 with the 6245 more favored as it gives the watch a cleaner aesthetic.
Prices have skyrocketed thanks to the reissue Grand Seiko SBGR095. The 6245-9000 having the date only complication and lion medallion is definitely the piece to go for if you are looking for something similar to the reissue.
The watch will come a brand new handmade top grained leather strap.
