For sale is a Seiko 4402-8000.

Following Seiko 140th Anniversary Re-creation of King Seiko (ref. SJE083), the popularity of the original 44 King Seiko soared.

The watch features a stout looking case and clean off white dial paired with a pair of broad dauphine hands. This design that can also be seen on the second Grand Seiko.

The flat silver sunburst dial helps enhance legibility by making the indices and hands more prominent.

The example offered here is the early variant which has the highly sought after shield medallion and without the Daini logo on the dial.

The watch is in excellent condition with common hairline scratches seen on the case. Light aging and scratches can be seen on the hands but the dial is in beautiful unaged condition. Light hairline scratches can be seen on the crystal. Minor signs of aging can also be seen on the medallion.

The watch comes on a brand new handmade top grained leather strap.

Serial number has been covered for privacy.
