For your consideration, we present the exquisite Longines 9006, available now.
The Longines 9006 was introduced in the mid 59s with the distinguished insignia of "All Guard," a testament to its exceptional features such as "Shock-Guard, Synchro-Guard, Life-Guard, and Water-Guard." With a total of four captivating variations falling under the reference 9006, this model offers a choice between black and white dials, each available with or without the esteemed "All Guard" branding.
The particular variant we proudly offer for sale boasts a sleek black dial without the "All Guard" emblem. It is likely that this version followed shortly after the "All Guard" variant," indicating that Longines may have made a deliberate decision to refine the dial by removing the branding, ensuring a more sophisticated aesthetic.
Sharing inspiration from the timeless Longines Conquest, this watch showcases an identical design, omitting only the medallion on the case back. Its flat black dial captivates with raised multifaceted indices and an elegant winged hourglass, elegantly accompanied by a pair of dauphine hands.
The beating heart of this timepiece is Longines' renowned in-house automatic calibre 19AS, maintaining a low frequency of 18,000 beats per hour, a testament to its vintage allure.
Please note that the watch case exhibits signs of wear and polishing. The crown was replaced with an aftermarket option by the previous owner. Both the dial and hands showcase the gentle patina of aging, offering a glimpse into the watch's storied past. To enhance clarity, a brand new crystal has been skillfully installed.
Completing this exceptional package, the Longines 9006 is presented on a brand new handmade top-grained calf leather strap.
