Seiko 2220-3460 from 1975
For sale is a Seiko 2220-3460.
The watch earns its nickname through a dial layout similar to the renown Cartier tank.
Instead of doing a complete copy of the Cartier Tank, the watch design team added their own touch to it by opting for a tapered stepped case.
Keeping the watch sleek to accompany the case, Seiko opted for sleek Roman numerals instead of bold numerals used by Cartier.
Powering the watch is the 24 Jewels calibre 2220 that beats away at 28800bph. The absence of seconds hand and minimal printing on the dial allow the watch to have a clean aesthetic.
The watch case is in excellent condition with light signs of aging seen on the case. The dial and hands are free from any signs of aging. Light scratches can so be seen on the crystal.
Serial number has been covered for privacy.
The watch comes on a brand new handmade top grained leather strap.
