For sale is a Seiko 2559-3030.

Making its first debut in the 1968 JDM supplement catalogue No. 2, the calibre 2559 came in to replace the calibre 2519 to accompany the calibre 2539.

The petit calibre 2559 packs 24 jewels and is regarded as a high tier calibre that beats away at 28800bph.

The calibre was used in both female and male watches before the calibre 2220 took its place in 1972.

The 2559-3030 features an understated navy blue with contrasting white Roman numerals printed along the edge. The dial is kept clean with minimal printing and bold hour hands are juxtaposed by long slender minutes hands to enhance legibility.

The watch case is given a tough look with its bold lugs, making it wearable even in casual occasions.

The watch sits well on the wrist thanks to the curved case and case back.

The watch is in excellent condition with minimal hairline scratches seen on the case. Scratches can be seen on the crystal. The watch dial and hands are free from any signs of aging.

The watch comes on a brand new handmade top grained leather strap.
