For sale is a Seiko 5126-8050.

In the year 1968, Seiko launched multiple sports and dive watches with striking red lollipop hands, blue dial and minute markers.

The success of those watches encouraged Seiko to take it to the next level in 1969. The vibrant colours went on to hands, indices and lumes.

Collectors were also greeted with different styles of minute markers with the rally style being the most popular.

The 5126-8050 made a single appearance in the 1968 Volume 2 supplementary catalog which suggest an extremely short time of production.

The 5126-8050 features a sharp polished case with fluted bezel that is hardly seen on any Seiko.

The sunburst dial is finished in an alluring shade of teal blue that is complemented with hands and indices finished with a dash of steel blue.

Powered by the automatic calibre 5126, the display of black date disc and silver day disc blends with the overall aesthetic of the dial. The calibre 5126 also feature a cool party trick where a single push of the crown changes the date instantaneously.

The watch is in excellent condition for its age with minimal hairline scratches seen on the case and bracelet. Minimal signs of aging can be seen on the dial and hands. A brand new crystal has been installed for clarity.

The watch comes on its original bracelet that fits up to 6.25" wrist.
