For sale is a Seiko 5328-5000.

The Seiko watch company is well known for making all their timepieces fully in house since the 50s till now.

From quartz to spring drive, Seiko has achieved multiple milestones in their pursuit of excellence and it is no surprise that collectors were shocked when they first discovered that Seiko used a Swiss movement in the production of the "Mech" collection (MC) in 80s.

The MC made a single appearance in the 1987 JDM catalog and was created for enthusiasts who were drawn to the technical appeal of mechanical watches.

A total of 10 variants were offered under the MC, of which 4 pairs were made as a couple watch (big and small variant of the aesthetic). The 5328-5000 and 5328-5010 were the only variants that were offered in one size.

The MC draws its inspiration from the early vintage watches with its simple dial layout that features sub seconds above 6.

It has been confirmed that the calibre powering the the watch is the Swiss calibre 138.001 from Fabrique d'horlogerie de Fontainemelon (FHF).

Apart from its clean and simple aesthetic, the MC is highly sought after due to its short and mysterious production.

The watch case is in well worn condition with light aging seen on the case. The watch dial and hands are free from any signs of aging. Light hairline scratches can be seen on the acrylic crystal and can be buffed by request.

The watch comes on a brand new handmade top grained leather strap.
