Designed for the visually handicapped, the Seiko 6618-8001 features a snap open top bezel which allows easy access to the sturdy hands and Braille dial.

The 6618-8001 features an understated textured tactile dial that allows the visually handicapped to enjoy the finishing on the dial even with the lack of sight.

Powered by the hand winding 6618 calibre, the watch is preferred by collectors over the quartz powered 7c17 variant.

With the increasing amount of time telling app available on smartphone, Braille watches like this have evolved to become novelty items instead a need.

The watch case is in excellent condition with common hairline scratches seen on the case. The watch dial and hands are in excellent condition considering the fact that they are constantly being touched. The letter 1 from the "17 Jewels" text on the dial has faded through constant physical contact. Light hairline scratches can be seen on the crystal.

The watch comes on a brand new handmade top grained leather strap.
