For sale is a Seiko 6618-8001.

Designed for the visually handicapped, the Seiko 6618-8001 features a snap open top bezel which allows easy access to the sturdy hands and Braille dial. 

The 6618-8001 features an understated textured tactile dial that allows the visually handicapped to enjoy the finishing on the dial even with the lack of sight. 

Powered by the hand winding 6618 calibre, the watch is preferred by collectors over the quartz powered 7c17 variant. 

With the increasing amount of time telling app available on smartphone, Braille watches like this have evolved to become novelty items instead a need. 

The watch case is in mint condition with only light hairline scratches seen on the case. Light aging can be seen on the dial at certain angles but it is not very obvious to the naked eye, the condition of the dial is considered mint for a Braille watch as the dial is under constant contact. A brand new crystal has been installed for clarity. 

The watch comes on a brand new handmade top grained leather strap.
