Seiko 7002-8010 from 1992
For sale is a Seiko 7002-8010.
Mention the calibre 7002 and people will think of the predecessor of the famous SKX007 and descendant of the slim 6309. Only a handful of collectors are aware of the dress watch line launched with the calibre 7002.
The 7002-8010 variant offered for sale here features a black dial that is similar to the dial of the Alpinist.
The date wheel is black with Arabic printed in gold to match the colour of the dial.
The watch features a round stepped case with long slender lugs that strays far from Seiko's typical case design.
The watch is then topped off with a double domed crystal that is more commonly seen on watches before the 70s.
It is worth noting that all 7002-8010 are equipped with calibre 7002 made from Singapore, with the word "Singapore" engraved on the rotor and the acronym "SIN" engraved just beside the balance wheel.
The watch case is in excellent condition with common hairline scratches seen. The watch dial and hands are free from any signs of aging. Light hairline scratches can be seen on the crystal.
The watch comes on a brand new handmade top grained leather strap.
