Seiko Champion 850 Alpinist 858990 from 1964 (Serviced)

The Seiko Champion Alpinist series is the second series of Alpinist to be produced by Seiko (After Seiko Laurel Alpinist) with the largest variant offered. 

It wasn't until the 90s that Seiko decided to resurrect the Alpinist line by producing SCVF005, SCVF005 and SCVF009 (famously known as the Red Alpinist). 

Measuring 35mm in diameter, the watch wears bigger due to the lengthy lugs. 

The watch is in a well worn condition with signs of aging on the dial. The original lume and crown are still in pristine condition, a rare sight for this reference. The watch was serviced in October 2020 and is ready for prolonged usage before the next servicing is required. 

The watch comes with a brand new handmade top grained leather strap. 

Serial number has been covered for privacy.
