Seiko Grand Twin Quartz 9256-7000 from 1979
For sale is a Seiko 9256-7000.
Featured under "Vol.4 The journey to the ultimate in quartz watchmaking" on Grand Seiko's official site; collectors might be familiar with the Suwa's Grand Twin Quartz calibre 994X that features an accuracy of ±10s/year that rivals the current calibre 9F but only a handful are aware of the Daini's Grand Twin Quartz calibre 9256.
Set to be released 4 months after the introduction of the calibre 994X, the calibre 9256 shares a similar specification with the calibre 994X such as the accuracy of ±10s/year.
The rarely seen Seiko 9256-7000 offered for sale here features a finely brushed case and bracelet that gives the watch a matt appearance as compared to the regular brushed finished case. The mirror polished bezel is met by elevated planes for the case for additional visual interest and depth.
The slate blue sunburst dial is finished with white elements for light contrast that gives the watch a cleaner aesthetic while ensuring legibility.
The watch case is in immaculate condition with little signs of usage seen. The watch dial and hands are free from any signs of aging. Very light signs of aging can be seen on the day and date wheel. Light aging can be seen on the original AR coated crystal.
The watch comes on its original bracelet that fits up to 8" wrist.
