Seiko 7N07-5A00

For sale is a Seiko 7N07-5A00.

"Laurel" is best known for being Japan's first wristwatch created by Seiko in 1913.

The "Laurel" branding was used across Seiko's history and most notably the first Seiko Alpinist in 1959.

It wasn't until mid 90s where Seiko revived the laurel branding as a mid-high end line where high end calibres, sterling silver cases and enamel dials were used.

This brings us to the watch offered for sale here. The Seiko Laurel 7N07-5A00 is an extremely rare quartz watch that features a handsome blue guilloche dial that is split into 10 sections for extra depth.

The dial is also decorated with raised indices that is similar to those on the red alpinist.

It is highly possible that the watch was produced for just a few months in 1995 before Seiko ceased its production.

It is interesting to note that like the first Laurel produced in 1913, the calirbe 7N07 used in this watch was first used in pocket watches before they were used in a wristwatch.

The watch case is in immaculate condition with little signs of usage. The watch dial is free from any signs fo aging. Aging can be seen on the hands. The crystal is free from any scratches.

The watch comes on a brand new handmade top grained leather strap.
