Seiko Nouveau SZKY990 from 1986

For sale is a Seiko SZKY990.

The Seiko Nouveau (French Affairs) collection made its debut in the 1986 featuring art deco case and dial.

The SZKY990 features a flat white dial with roman numerals printed in off white marking the hours and enlarged arabic numerals behind for the minutes. Applied indices are lined up behind each arabic numerals, giving the watch a touch of elegance.

The two additional sub-dial at 6 and 12 are printed in red for easy reading to the day and seconds.

The watch dial is then complemented by Breguet hour and minutes hands to further echo the art deco theme behind the watch.

Moving on to the case, the design team chose swivel lugs that are hardly seen these days. The case is then finished off with a coin bezel to complement the details on the crown.

Measuring 31.5mm in diameter, the watch wears more like 35mm thanks to the swivel lugs.

The watch is in excellent condition other than light wear on the plating. Common hairline scratches can be seen on the case and crystal. The watch dial and hands are in immaculate condition with no signs of aging seen.

The watch comes on a brand new leather strap.
