Seiko QR 3863-8000 from 1974

For sale is a Seiko 3863-8000.

Watches with integrated lugs and bracelet have been gaining popularity in recent years and the 3863-8000 displays Seiko's ability to make one without looking like a Genta's homage.

The watch features an understated rice paper textured dial adorn in Havelock Blue. The watch dial is topped off with chunky indices on the edge and applied Seiko and Quartz logo towards the centre. The face of the watch is then finished off with a paired bold syringe hands with ridges as details.

Topped with a multifaceted crystal, the path of light gets altered as it passes through the crystal, bringing the dial to life.

Priced just above the Grand Seikos (With the exception of VFA) of its period the multifaceted watch case and bracelet are well brushed and polish.

Powered by the calibre 3863,the watch features English /Kanji day wheel. Language preference can be changed quick-setting of the day.

The watch is in immaculate condition with close to no signs of usage other than minimal hairline scratches seen on the side of the case and crystal. Tool marks can be seen on the case back.

It is likely that the watch was never used as no signs of usage can be seen on both the bracelet and clasp; something highly unlikely for a used watch. The hairline scratches seen on the side of the case and crystal might be due to careless storage by the previous owner.

The watch comes on its original bracelet with its original sticker still intact.
