The Seiko Alpinist collection is one of the most highly sought after collection by fellow seiko collectors. Originally created for Japanese mountain climbers, the alpinist collection often feature an inner bezel compass.
With a similar dial layout and case shape many might mistake the SCVF005 with the SPB117 at the first glance. Upon looking further, one will begin to notice the few differences the SCVF005 possess.
The Seiko SCVF005 sets itself apart from the other SPB117 with its lumed shark tooth indices, web like dial, smaller case size of 37mm and the the red "Alpinist" printing at 6.
The one key factor that makes the SCVF007 superior than the SPB117 is the heart of it; the calibre 4s15.
The 4s15 movement is the descendant of the revered Daini 52 movement. The 4s15 beats at 28000bph, has 40hours power reserve and an accuracy of +25/-15. All this which is similar to the current 8L movement other than the power reserve.
The watch case is in excellent condition other than a nick on the side. The watch dial and hands are free from any signs of aging. The watch received a brand new sapphire crystal for extra clarity and scratch resistance. Cyclops can be installed on the new crystal by request. The original crystal will be give during purchase.
The watch comes with its original bracelet.
