Seiko Silverwave 6306-8000 from 1978
For sale is a Seiko 6306-8000.
The Seiko Silverwave family is widely known as the first group of Seiko watches suitable for diving (or light diving).
True to how most Silverwave are like, the 6306-8000 features a screw down crown and case back .
The example offered here has a beautiful silver vertically brushed dial complemented with a pair of dauphine hands that is commonly seen only vintage King and Grand Seiko.
With nice curved lugs and highly legible chapter ring, the 6306-8000 has a similar aesthetic as the contemporary Seiko such as the SARB033 and SARB035.
Measuring 38mm in diameter with a 20mm lug width, the watch sits perfectly for most collectors making it a highly sought after case design.
Being a JDM Seiko the watch has an English Kanji day wheel.
The watch is in a well aged condition with aging seen across the dial. Light hairline scratches can also be seen on both the case and bracelet.
The watch comes on its original Seiko signed bracelet.
Serial number has been covered for privacy.
