Seiko Silverwave Baby Arnie H556-510B from 1984

For sale is a rarely seen Seiko H557-510B.

Nicknamed the "Baby Arnie" the Seiko H556-510B was produced along with the famed H558-5009 Seiko Arnie in the 80s.

The main difference between the two is the size, the H556-510B measures 38mm in diameter while the H558-5009 is way bigger at 46mm.

The example offered here is the rare JDM Silverwave Butterscotch yellow dial variant.

The countdown/compass bezel gets a dose of the eye catching butterscotch yellow of the dial that contrast with the monotonous bezel.

A great summer watch, the dial also features maya blue printings on the dial to help users navigate with the multiple buttons situated along the case.

The watch is then completed with a set of two tone black/gold hands for legibility while not forgoing the need to remind the user that this watch is to remain a fun-ctional piece.

The watch is in excellent condition other than the comon loss of the light function. The LCD displays still works and no signs of aging can be seen on both the hands and dial.

The watch comes on a matching DB70AB strap.
