Introduced in 1983, the Seiko Calibre 7A28 holds the distinction of being the world's first analog quartz chronograph calibre. It features split timing capabilities, and the upper right register boasts 1/20th of a second accuracy when activated by the upper right pusher.

Unlike many quartz watches of its era, the 7A-series was designed for longevity, with fully serviceable and oilable movements, proving they were far more than disposable timepieces.
