Seiko Sports "Proof" 6119-8140 from 1968

For sale is a Seiko 6119-8140.

Produced in the late 60s, the Seiko 5 Sports series features many eye catching pieces such as this 6119-8140.

The watch features a classic flat black dial with generously lumed rectangular blocks as indices.

The monochromatic watch dial is dramatically enlivened by a splash of blue on the "Sports" printing situated right above 6 and a striking red lollipop seconds hand.

Matching the sports aesthetic of the watch is a tonneau shaped case paired with a machined bezel with notches at hourly interval.

The watch is in mint condition with perfect dial and hands. Common hairline scratches can be seen on the case and a light nick can be seen on the bottom of the case on the left. The watch crystal is free from any scratches.

The watch comes on a brand new 19mm nato strap.
