Seiko Sportsman 10197 from 1960

For sale is a Seiko 10197.

The Seiko Sportsman 10197 is a rarely seen reference of Seiko's early attempt in producing budget friendly watches for the mass.

There is nothing to scream about the manual winding 17 jewels calibre 4361 but it is robust and still keeps great time today.

Measuring 26mm in case width and 38.5mm lug to lug the watch is still considered a good size for collectors of today.

The watch is in well worn condition with signs of aging across on the case. Obvious signs of aging can also be seen on the dial and the hands. Minor hairline scratches can be seen on the case.

The watch comes on a brand new handmade top grained leather strap.

Serial number has been covered for privacy.
