The Seiko 9983-7000 is powered by the highly revered calibre 9983 that has an accuracy of ±5s/year that is twice as accurate as the majority of 9F calibres that is rated ±10s/year accurate.

The accuracy of the calibre is 9983 is only part of the reason of the popularity of the 9983-7000.

The main reason for the popularity of the 9983-7000 lies with the pairing of the sharp Hardened Stainless Steel case with the Gerald Genta-esque bracelet.

The case uses Seiko's Hardened Stainless Steel (HSS) with a Hv score ~450. This added hardness allows the watch to be more scratch resistant. The usage of HSS is not marketing gimmick as most case made of HSS hold up well after years of usage.

The case is then paired with a dodecagon bezel and a tactile textured dial decorated with raised hour and minute indices.

The watch case is in excellent condition with multiple hairline scratches seen on the sides of the case. Signs of aging can be seen across the dial (Please refer to the photo without the hand for the real state of the dial as the aging is not showing on the photo with the hand) . The hands are free from any signs of aging. The crystal is free from any scratches.

The watch comes on its original bracelet that fits up to 7.25" wrist.
